In April in different regions of Latvia meeting of forest owners will take place on the subject "Preparation and Use of Forest Biomass". During the event a film "Forest Energy" will be demonstrated, informing on the technologies of forest biomass production and processing of logging waste, on principles of cultivation of fast growing sallow trees and aspens, emphasising both nature protection principles and economic aspects, as well as opportunities of profit gaining.

The participants will have opportunity to receive for free the first public information edition in Latvia – manual on energetic wood "Preparation and Use of Forest Biomass" and to ask questions to the experts in the field and to the professionals of the Consultation Service Centre of the State Forest Service.

The meetings of the forest owners in four regions of Latvia in April are organized to answer following question: "What can be done to manage the owned forest properties with maximum efficiency?"

With the growing importance of the renewable energy more and more attention is paid to effective use of the forest resources. Effective collection and processing of the logging waste, latest technologies for production of the forest biomass – these are issues that are important to each and every forest owner or manager.
